Massachusetts sees decrease in reported COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths Monday

Massachusetts saw a decrease in hospitalizations in Monday’s COVID-19 report.

Massachusetts has seen 165 more positive cases announced in the last 24 hours. A decrease from the previous 24 hour period. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate has now decreased to 2.0%.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 110,595 with 10 more reported dead for a total of 8,427.

Massachusetts had seen 353 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

13,312 tests were performed, over 1,000 less than yesterday, to increase the overall total to 1,589,682. The amount of individuals tested is now 1,218,790.

Hospitalizations have decreased in 68 of the last 85 days and saw a decrease of 31 today to see the total drop to 375.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to July 28th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 72,481
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 70,449
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 2,032

According to the CDC, as of August 3rd, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 4,649,102 with 154,471 dead.
