Motorcycle rider dead after collision with sedan on Route 140, driver also injured
A motorcyclist is dead after a weekend highway crash involving another vehicle.
According to police, on Saturday, just before 7:30 p.m., the Franklin Police and Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash at 543 East Central Street (Route 140) involving a sedan and a motorcycle.
Upon arrival, first responders quickly began life-saving measures on the motorcycle operator, a 57-year-old Franklin resident.
The operator of the motorcycle, whose name was not released, was transported to Milford Hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
The operator of the sedan was transported to Milford Hospital and later released with no serious injuries.
No charges are expected in this incident.
The crash remains under investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, and the Franklin Police Department.
