Twin River Tiverton Casino gets approval on 24 hour gaming, liquor service hours
The Tiverton Town Council has approved two ordinances for Twin River Tiverton Casino.
The council held a public hearing Thursday at the Tiverton High School Auditorium on North Brayton Road.
Twin River Tiverton Casino was looking for two proposed amendments that would allow them to be open 24 hours and to serve alcohol during certain hours.
Twin River Tiverton was looking for a Class B-C License which would allow liquor service from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and Sunday not before a holiday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before a holiday. The fee for the license is $2,500.
24 hour gambling was approved by the council 4-3 while liquor service was approved 6-1.
Twin River will be featuring an 84 room hotel, 32 table games, 1,000 slot machines, Trattoria Romano, Jacky’s Galaxie, Mooyah Burgers, Pie Five Pizza, and Dunkin Donuts. It is scheduled to open September 1st.
