Fall River sees record COVID-19 daily case count Wednesday
Fall River saw a record amount of cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s report.
According to the Mayor’s Office, 3,411 total cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 118 case increase from Tuesday.
The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.
Deaths in Fall River contributed to COVID-19 remain at 140. The City was notified of four fatalities last week.
53 COVID-19 cases were reported Thursday. Friday added 75 additional cases, Saturday revealed 66 cases, Sunday saw 78 cases, Monday revealed 47 cases of COVID-19 and Tuesday saw 63 cases.
According to the Mayor’s Office, Mayor Coogan would like to inform the community that staying home from work or school while experiencing symptoms or waiting for test results is one of the most important things that residents can do to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Simple precautions, testing and isolating while waiting for results is key to prevent the spread of illness in the workplace, which is one contributor to our recent increase in COVID-19 cases.
