Murder suspect arrested Sunday in Brockton motel murder
BROCKTON — Massachusetts State Police Detectives along with Brockton Police have placed a Brockton man under arrest and charged him with Murder in connection with the Friday evening shooting of a 20 year old male, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
On Friday at approximately 6:21 pm, Brockton Police received multiple 911 calls regarding a shooting at the Super 8 Motel in Brockton. Upon arrival, Brockton Police were directed to Room 212 and discovered a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 20 year old Christopher Lascase of Brockton.
Brockton Police contacted Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. As a result of that investigation, State Police and Brockton Police sought and received an arrest warrant for D’Vante Bly-Mollenthiel, 22, of Brockton. Today, at approximately 3 p.m., Bly-Mollenthiel, was arrested in Brockton without incident
