Fall River teen killed, 3 others injured in fatal Route 6 crash near Westport, Dartmouth line
One has been killed and 3 others injured in a serious Friday night crash near the Westport and Dartmouth line.
According to Dave Procopio of the Massachusetts State Police, preliminary crash reconstruction revealed that as a Lexus approached Route 177 while proceeding on Route 6 at about 9:45 p.m., the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road and hit a utility pole.
A rear male passenger, an 18-year-old from Fall River, was transported to St Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Three other occupants of the Lexus were 20, 19, and 15-year-old males and were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries.
Procopio stated that the crash remains under investigation as to whether charges are warranted.
