Kappy’s Fine Wine & Spirits is headed to SouthCoast Marketplace.

Barring a non-approval of the liquor license transfer from Heritage Liquors by the Licensing Board on Wednesday October 18th, it will be the rumored liquor store location at the Marketplace.

You may recall that the developers of the plaza, The CEA Group, were looking for a liquor license to open a large 12,000 square foot liquor store.

Kappy’s would be the 8th location of the franchise, but currently each location is independently owned and operated.

Kappy’s prides itself on providing customers with an extensive selection of wines. Kappy’s Fine Wine & Spirits stores are known as places where one can find great quality, inexpensive wines, as well as wines that are on the higher end of the price spectrum. They stock thousands of choices at every price point. In addition to carrying Massachusetts’ largest number of name brand items, they also directly source hard to find wines and spirits.

Kappy’s also has a large craft beer and spirits selections.

Founded in 1940, Kappy’s is a fourth generation family business who pride themselves on customer service, great products, and every day low prices.

The current Kappy’s store hours are Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Friday & Saturday 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.

An opening date has not yet been determined.
