Two families have begun planning to honor their loved ones after a fatal shooting this week.

14-year-old Miguel Angel Sanjurjo of Fall River, was one of the victims killed after being shot Tuesday in the area of Griffin Park in Fall River.

According to family, Miguel was born in Brooklyn and was a student at the Fall River Resiliency Preparatory School. Miguel was well liked by his teachers and friends and loved to play basketball, ride his moped, and hang out with his large and extended family.

Calling Hours for Sanjurjo will be held on Thursday May 27 from 4-7pm in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River. Facial coverings are required at the funeral home and his family has asked that all who attend the visitation wear orange to bring awareness to stopping gun violence. Funeral services and burial will both be private.

29-year-old Jovaughn Mills was also a victim in the shooting.

A friend stated that Jovaughn was turning his life around after being incarcerated for 8 years. He was working a 9-5 job everyday and was hoping to become a father.

A GoFundMe has been created to help pay for funeral expenses and was at just over $2,800 as of this writing.

Friday evening, an arrest was made in connection to the investigation of the double homicide.
