Warwick man accused of sexual assault on missing teen

Warwick police have arrested a man involved in a missing teen case.

According to Lt. Scott Robillard, On Tuesday the Warwick Police Department Detective Division received a request for assistance from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan regarding a missing 15 year old female. The female had been missing since 8/2/19 and the investigation led investigators to believe the female could be in the City of Warwick.

Surveillance was conducted at a location in Warwick. Detectives searched the home and the missing juvenile was located. Information was gathered and an arrest warrant was obtained from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office for 2 Felony Charges stemming from their investigation for Charles J. Morancey, 43, from 1110 Main Avenue Warwick.

Morancey was later arrested in Warwick without incident.

An investigation was conducted by Members of the Warwick Police Department Detective Division. The investigation is ongoing but evidence was secured to charge Morancey with 4 Counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault along with a Fugitive from Justice stemming from the original warrant.

Morancey is being held for the next session of District Court.
