Vegetarian, gluten free bakery/sandwich shop in Fall River sets upcoming opening date
A bakery/sandwich shop with gluten free and veggie options is set to open next month.
Sweet Rose Cafe at 268 Highland Avenue in Fall River will be run by Lisa Normandin.
Normandin previously received unanimous approval by the Fall River Zoning Board to change the variance on the property from a chiropractic office to the bakery/sandwich shop. The building was also previously a dentist office and real estate office.
The eatery is scheduled to be open Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sweet Rose Cafe has a scheduled opening date of September 21st.
Occupancy for the establishment is scheduled to be 25-30 patrons with possible outside seating. A handicap ramp is also planned to be installed.
Normandin went in front of the Fall River Licensing Board on Wednesday and was granted a Common Victuallers License pending inspection.

Wait. “Vegetarian options”? I thought this place was going to be an all-vegan restaurant according to the article published on 9/13 in The Herald News.
