A new market is about to open its doors in Fall River.
Gol Supermarket will be taking the place of Buffet 2000 at 441 Tucker Street.
Gol will feature, specialty Brazilian cuisine (including buffet BBQ and coxinhas), a complete butcher, fresh bakery, prepared foods, pizza, grill with special cuts, fresh fruit/veggies, and more.

According to the Cape Cod Times, owner Elson Goncalves “came to the United States from Brazil in 2001 with no money and no knowledge of English.” He worked his way up from stocking shelves for a supermarket chain, to buying the first Gol Supermarket in 2010.
Gol currently has locations in Hyannis, Falmouth, Leominster, and recently opened Sturbridge with the Fall River spot opening in days.
