Victim identified in Fatal Crash in Wareham
An early morning crash turned fatal Thursday.
At approximately 3 a.m. today State Police Troop D received calls reporting a motor vehicle on fire. Responding Troopers located the vehicle on Route 25 eastbound just prior to Exit 2 in Wareham (mm 2.4). The vehicle was in the median strip against a tree, fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters extinguished the flames; a victim was subsequently located deceased within the charred vehicle.
The victim has been identified as Frank Mctighe, 60, of Holbrook.
The investigation by MSP is ongoing and is being conducted by Troop D with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. No further information is available at this time.
