Friends and loved ones are still processing the recent tragic loss of a Fall River man.

27-year-old James Aiguier died suddenly at his home on Friday.

According to an obituary, Aiguier was a Class of 2014 graduate from South Shore Regional Technical High School in Hanover. While in high school he was an accomplished member of the SSVT Viking wrestling team.

Aiguier furthered his education by receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Umass Dartmouth. He was most recently employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River.

Whether they were a friend of Aiguier, went to school with him, or was a co-worker, it is hard to find a bad word said about him.

“He was such a good kid, such a respectful kid. Always kind and always had a smile on his face. He was so intelligent and smart, as he accomplished many things.”

“We have lost one of our amazing nurses and a friend, James Aiguier, over the weekend. Gone too soon. James was an amazing nurse. A hero to many.”

“It still doesn’t even feel real that you are gone. I hope you know how truly loved you are and how much you touched every single person that was lucky enough to know you. You are such a special person, and I’ll always cherish the times we had together. Thank you for always being such a kind and caring friend, and always helping your loved ones through the darkest of times. You are already so so missed. Love you forever Jimmy, you’ll always be on my mind until we meet again one day.”

Aiguier was clearly loved and respected from the South Shore to the South Coast.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 2 to 6pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, MA 02780. His burial will be held privately.
