Three from Rhode Island arrested on drug charges after multi-agency investigation

Police arrested two local men and one woman today on drug charges after a multi-agency investigation.

According to police, at approximately 2:00 p.m., three individuals were apprehended for trafficking cocaine following an investigation by the Portsmouth Police Department, DEA Providence, and Newport Police Department.

Investigators seized approximately 380 grams of suspected cocaine as a result of the investigation.

39-year-old Francisco Vazquez Ramos of Cranston, RI, was charged with three counts of Manufacturing / Possession / Delivery of Schedule I/II, Manufacturing / Possession / Delivery-1 oz- 1 kg, and Conspiracy.

35-year-old Sergio Ricard of Providence, RI was charged with Manufacturing / Possession / Delivery-1 oz- 1 kg and Conspiracy.

49-year-old Nictsa Garcia of Cranston, RI, was charged with two counts of Manufacturing / Possession / Delivery of Schedule I/II and Conspiracy

All three suspects will be arraigned in Second Division District Court in Newport tomorrow.
