Taunton man arrested after head-on crash injures one Wednesday
A Taunton man has been arrested after a serious crash late last night.
According to Norton Police, at 11:17 p.m., Norton Police and Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash on Taunton Avenue in the area of Meadowbrook Lane. Two vehicles struck head-on as they were traveling on Taunton Avenue. The vehicle traveling south, operated by Daniel Carter, 23, of Taunton, veered into the northbound lane and struck the other vehicle head-on.
The male operator of the other vehicle was transported to Sturdy Hospital by the Norton Fire Department for non-life threatening injuries.
Carter was placed under arrest by Norton Police and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. He was not injured in the crash.
Carter will appear in Attleboro District Court today.
The crash is under investigation by Patrolman Jarrad Morse.
