Suspect in Fall River homicide held without bail, more details released

A 25-year-old man with a last known address in Taunton has been arrested and arraigned in connection to the Friday night homicide on Bedford Street in Fall River.

According to WJAR 10 News, Joseph Noe pleaded not guilty in court today.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Noe turned himself in at the Fall River Police Station today and was placed under arrest. He is charged with one count of murder, one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building and two counts of assault and battery by means of a firearm.

An arrest warrant for the defendant was issued Saturday night.

Video from outside of JC’s Café Friday night shows Noe firing a gun into a crowd which took place after an incident involving two motorcycle gangs.

At around 10:15 p.m. Friday night, police responded to JC’s Cafe, which is located at 1050 Bedford Street, for a report of a shooting with multiple victims. When police arrived, they located Eric Voshell, 39, of Oak Bluffs, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to Charlton Memorial Hospital and was later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died on Saturday morning.

Two other apparent gunshot victims, a 37-year-old Fall River man and a 23-year-old Bridgewater man, were also transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
