Special City Council Meeting announced to discuss mayoral position in Fall River
Fall River City Council President has announced in a statement to have the City Council conduct a special meeting in the wake of Mayor Correia’s arrest and indictment.
The following statement reads as follows:
“As City Council President, I am calling a Special Meeting of the Fall River City Council. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the criminal indictment of Fall River Mayor Jasiel F. Correia II, and any motions that the City Council may propose regarding the leadership of our city. The Special Meeting will take place on October 16th at 6:00 p.m. at Fall River Government Center in the City Council Chamber.
Citizens input is also scheduled for the meeting.
Pam Laliberte-Lebeau stated on a Facebook post this afternoon that many residents have asked how they can express their feelings about the current situation to the City Council and should contact them directly or e-mail the entire council.
