UPDATE: Somerset, Dartmouth men running 500 miles to end veteran suicide

Two local runners began their mission this morning to help end veteran suicide.

Josh Milich, of Somerset, who is enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, and Brian Tjersland, of Dartmouth, who is a real-estate appraiser, first met in a trail runners group. There, both men decided that they wanted to do something special.

Josh and Brian teamed up with Mission 22 to raise money while running 500 miles from Massachusetts National Cemetery to Arlington National Cemetery in VA. The trek will take the men between 10-14 days averaging 40-50 miles per day. They will only stop to eat and sleep until they make it to Arlington, VA.

Their goal is to raise $100,000. As of this writing, the pair had raised just over $25,000.
