A group calling themselves “Halloween and Costume Association” is looking to change the day of Halloween.
A group calling themselves “Halloween and Costume Association” is looking to change the day of Halloween.
A petition has been started by the group in hopes of getting Halloween changed to the last Saturday of October. The group is hoping that moving it to a Saturday every year will making it more safe for trick or treaters and less stressful for parents.
It is unclear where they received their data, but the petition states that 70% of parents don’t accompany their children trick-or-treating and 51% Of Millennials say Halloween is their favorite holiday. The petition goes on to say “Why cram it into 2 rushed evening weekday hours when it deserves a full day!?!”
The petition currently has almost 13,000 signatures.
