Rider transported to New Bedford hospital after motorcycle crash on Route 140
A motorcycle rider was injured after an afternoon Massachusetts motorcycle crash.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, crews were summoned to the highway by Massachusetts State Police for a motorcycle down at just before 3:15 p.m. Friday. The accident occurred on the northbound side of the highway, just south of County Road.
The rider was transported to St Luke’s Hospital by the Ambulance 3 crew. Injuries were believed to not be serious. The rider’s helmet was damaged and likely prevented significant harm.
Engine 1, Car 2, and Car 1 also responded to the wreck.
The crash is under investigation.
