Rhode Island woman indicted after allegedly leaving the scene of a crash that killed Zacory Richardson
A Rhode Island woman has been indicted after being accused of leaving the scene of a crash that killed a 38-year-old man.
According to the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office, on October 27, 2023, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging 35-year-old Alisha Pina of Lincoln with one count of leaving the scene of an accident, death resulting.
38-year-old Zacory P. Richardson of Providence was killed on the night of valentine’s day in a hit and run crash.
Richardson was hit and killed by a car on North Main Street in Providence.
According to WJAR10, Pina turned herself in to police in connection with the incident after two days and was charged with failure to stop in an accident resulting in personal injury, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating of a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to render aid, as well as a right of way in crosswalks violation.
To add to the family’s tragedy, Richardson’s mother, Diana Nickerson, died just three days before her son which led to the family holding a double funeral.
Pina is scheduled to be arraigned on November 15, 2023, in Providence County Superior Court.
