A family is looking for help from the public in a possible abduction attempt.

According to Lieutenant Jay Huard, a five-year-old female, who lives in the Eastern Avenue area, was playing outside. At some point she returned inside and told her parents that a male and female asked if she wanted candy.

The only description that the child was able to relay, according to Huard, was that the couple was driving a white four door sedan.

Huard stated that there is no description of the possible suspects.

The victim’s sister issued the follow message.

“I have a five-year-old sister that was playing in our back yard when a white car stopped on the road and two jumped out and ran into our yard and chased my baby sister while my parents were inside, after my mom noticed so many cars beeping she went outside and grabbed my sister. This happened on North Eastern Ave. I was wondering if anyone could have caught their plates? Thank you to anyone that has any information and thank you to everyone who beeped!”

The sister stated that the incident took place at approximately 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
