Police find man stabbed to death while investigating robbery in Brockton
BROCKTON – Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man found early this morning, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 4:39 a.m., Brockton Police were investigating a robbery and were driving down Belmont Avenue when officers observed a male laying on the ground. Upon further investigation, officers observed the man to be suffering from apparent stab wounds. The 41-year-old male was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. He is not being identified at this time pending notification of next of kin.
Brockton Police contacted the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. That investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
