Police arrest homeless man on warrants, other charges, after attempted car break-ins
DARTMOUTH, MA – On Sunday, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Dartmouth Police responded to the area of Country Club Blvd., after receiving a call regarding a man in the area attempting to gain entry into vehicles.
While checking the area, Officer Richard Pacheco located a man riding a bicycle. The man, who matched the description of the suspect, was subsequently identified as Derek DeJesus, 47, of Park Drive, Boston.
After a records check on DeJesus revealed that he had an outstanding warrant associated with car breaks, he was taken into custody, according to Dartmouth Police.
In addition to the warrant, DeJesus was charged with attempting to commit a crime, to wit breaking and entering into a motor vehicle.
