Pedestrian run over in Saturday afternoon crash in Fall River
Police are investigating a crash that injured a pedestrian Saturday afternoon in Fall River.
According to Sergeant Joseph Galvao, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Fall River Police officers, along with the Fall River Fire Department, were dispatched to a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash in the area of 748 Pleasant Street. Upon arrival, officers found an unconscious male in the roadway that had been run over.
The initial investigation revealed that the victim had been under the vehicle fixing an area of the bumper when the vehicle drove off with the male under the bumper.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital, according to Galvao.
This incident is currently under investigation by the Fall River Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
