Police are investigating a fatal crash that took place Saturday morning.
According to Rhode Island Department of Transportation, at approximately 2:00 a.m., all travel lanes were blocked on I-95 Southbound at Exit 2 in Hopkinton due to an accident with injuries.
According to WPRI, the accident involved a tractor trailer and a pedestrian.

Rescue personnel determined the pedestrian was dead at the scene.
Rhode Island Department of Transportation stated that all lanes were opened back up as of 5:00 a.m.
The victim’s name has yet to be released.
