New restaurant headed to Fall River waterfront this summer
A new restaurant with a familiar face is headed to the Fall River waterfront.
Michael Lund who owns the Borden Light Marina, Tipsy Seagull, and Tipsy Toboggan, is about to add another establishment to his name. Lund, representing Lund’s MBL Group, LLC., went in front of the Fall River Licensing Board Wednesday for an All Alcohol Seasonal Common Victualler license for a waterfront bar and grill at the end of Ferry Street.
Pier 52 will be located between Canned Heat Brewery and the Tipsy Seagull. The establishment will have a bar and outdoor patio and will have capacity for 75 patrons.
Lund stated that the establishment will be an upscale, higher level of dining with background music. The menu will consist of items such as seafood and steaks. According to Lund, there will also be docking right on the side of the eatery where customers will be able to walk right up after docking their boat.
Pier 52 plans on being open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.
If all goes well, an opening in the beginning of July is expected.
The All Alcohol Seasonal Common Victualler license was approved pending inspection.
