Cafe, pizzeria to open next week in Fall River

A new café and pizzeria is expected to open next week in a familiar spot.

Edu’s Café and Pizzeria is taking over 927 Stafford Road which is the former location of Sonia’s Cakes and Sweets who’s owner, Sonia Mauricio, relocated to Georgia.

Owner Flavio Silva plans on having an array of menu items. The eatery plans on serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

A very diverse breakfast with Brazilian and Portuguese American cuisine will be served. After 1:00 pm Silva will serve Brazilian Salty Pancakes, three flavors of chicken, meat in the sauce, and vegetables, a popular food in Brazilian cuisine. They will follow up with Brazilian Pizza that will be served throughout the day. Several types of dessert will be offered including acai fruit indigo in the form of ice cream.

The establishment will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m..

Silva went in front of the Fall River Licensing Board on Wednesday to apply for a Common Victuallers license.
