Fall River has a new proposed marijuana facility.

According to a legal notice by the Public Policy Law Group Smith, Costello & Crawford, a community outreach meeting for a proposed Marijuana establishment is scheduled for this Wednesday, March 27th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Fall River Police Department at 685 Pleasant Street. The proposed Marijuana Cultivation Facility, Marijuana Product Manufacturing, and Marijuana Retail Establishment is anticipated to be located at 847, 867 Pleasant Street in Fall River. There will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions.

Giving Tree Health Center Inc., is one of 11 marijuana facilities proposed in the city.

Cultivation and Processing would take place at 847 Pleasant Street while dispensing would take place at 867. Both addresses are on the same property.

Three locations in the city are already selling marijuana.

Northeast Alternatives, who also processes and cultivates, has been selling both retail and medical marijuana.

Recently opened Hope Heal Health along with Nature’s Medicines Dispensary have both been conducting medical marijuana sales in the city.

The future and current Fall River marijuana establishments will pay a 3 percent tax to the city.

How many are we going g to have? Pleasant st in my opinion isn’t the right location. These grow houses should be out of the main st and in a place with out residential homes.
Despencery are ok in a retail area, but not a grow house. Put in a mill off the main streets.
