New gluten free, veggie sandwich shop/bakery planned

A bakery/sandwich shop with gluten free and veggie options is being planned for 268 Highland Avenue in Fall River.

The establishment, which will be run by Lisa Normandin, received unanimous approval by the Fall River Zoning Board to change the variance on the property from a chiropractic office to the bakery/sandwich shop. The building was also previously a dentist office and real estate office.

The eatery is scheduled to be open Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Occupancy for the establishment is scheduled to be 25-30 patrons with possible outside seating. A handicap ramp is also planned to be installed.

The property which was listed for $299,900 will maintain an apartment above the first floor. The sale of the 8,805 square foot property included 11 spots of off-street parking.
