Name of motorcycle rider killed in Rhode Island collision with vehicle released
A motorcycle rider is dead after a crash involving another vehicle on Thursday afternoon.
Police say that just before 3:00 p.m., 65-year-old Shell Ferris of North Providence was riding on Farnum Pike in Smithfield when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle.
Ferris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Noone else was injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
