Massachusetts surpasses 95,000 COVID-19 cases as Baker announces more information on Phase II

Friday, Massachusetts saw continue decreases in COVID-19 numbers as statistics overall have been on a downward trend in deaths and hospitalizations.

Massachusetts has seen 617 more positive cases announced in the last 24 hours. A decrease from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 95,512 with78 more reported dead for a total of 6,718.

Massachusetts had seen 675 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

9,422 tests were performed, over 700 less than the total released yesterday, to increase the overall total to 571,745.

Hospitalizations have decreased in 15 of the last 17 days.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to May 26th

• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 13,211

According to the CDC, as of May 29th, the total amount of cases in the country is 1,719,827 with 101,711 dead.

Phase II start determined next week; restaurants to open under list of guidelines including outdoor seating
