December 13th, 2021—State Representative Carole Fiola of Fall River received the Legislative House Award during Arts|Learning’s 34th Annual Champions of Arts Education Advocacy Award Ceremony on November 17th, 2021, at the Old Sturbridge Village Visitors Center Theatre in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

Arts|Learning is a non-profit organization that focuses on the creation of model programs, advocacy, and advancements in the field of arts and education. Since its start in 1984, Arts|Learning has awarded nearly 270 organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions towards arts and education. These awards recognize art educators, administrators, businesses, organizations, and policy makers who advocate for and support arts in education in the Commonwealth. These awards go to those participating in and/or supporting art in its various forms: dance, media arts, music, theatre and visual arts, and education (schools).

Representative Fiola serves as the House Chair of the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development. According to Fiola,” I’ve had the opportunity to work with key stakeholders across the Commonwealth this year to address the issues facing the Arts and Culture sectors and now more than ever, we’ve seen what Arts and Culture brings to our lives. Promoting Arts Education is important. Without the arts, our world would be bleak, and our children may never uncover the special gifts that they possess.”

Wow the broken system celebrating themselves! What’s new here? More ceremonial pomp and circumstance to feed the illusion that anything is being done for we the people. Totally disgusting and a giant farce… Inflation, high taxes , outrageous rents, fuel prices up, yeah great work Carol Fiola you should resign your position so someone who cares for the people can lead the fight against the implosion of our lifestyles. We in Fall River are not rich but we take pride in supporting our families, you democrat socialist politicians are making this impossible!!!

Yes, Carole and sleazy Senator Mike Rodriques really stood up for all the small businesses they pretend to champion when Charlie Baker turned the 15 day ‘slow the curve’ Covid shut down to an 18 month nightmare.
