Massachusetts State Police, Fall River personnel respond to rollover crash that left 3 injured, 1 charged on Interstate 195
State Police and Fall River personnel responded to a highway crash on Thursday morning with injuries.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., Massachusetts State Police Dartmouth Barracks, Fall River Fire and EMS responded to a single vehicle rollover collision on Interstate 195 Westbound near exit 14B in Fall River.
According to Trooper James DeAngelis, the vehicle was a 2023 Kia Forte operated by a 32-year-old man from New Bedford. There were 35 and 27-year-old female passengers in the vehicle as well.
At least one person could be scene lying in the roadway shortly after the crash.
All three occupants were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
MassDOT stated that the left lane and center lanes were closed which caused a traffic backup.
The operator of the vehicle was criminally charged with Unlicensed Operation, Unsafe Operation, and Marked Lanes Violation.
MassDOT reported that the scene was cleared just after 12:30 p.m.
