Massachusetts State Lottery $1 million prize scratch ticket winner making smart move with the cash

A recent big State Lottery scratch ticket winner is making a smart move when asked what she will do with the cash.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Lauren Lasso of Pawtucket, RI is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Diamond Deluxe” $30 instant ticket game.

Lasso chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She plans on saving her winnings.  

She purchased her winning ticket at Vista Donuts, 1096 Washington St. in Attleboro. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

“Diamond Deluxe” has (2) $15 million and (6) $1 million prizes remaining.
