Massachusetts saw an increase in hospitalizations in Monday’s COVID-19 report.

Massachusetts has seen 214 more positive cases announced in the last 24 hours. A decrease from the previous 24 hour period. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate has stayed at 1.8%.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 112,673 with 5 more reported dead for a total of 8,519.

Massachusetts had seen 286 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

11,276 tests were performed, almost 5,900 less than yesterday, to increase the overall total to 1,739,378. The amount of individuals tested is now 1,322,634.

Hospitalizations have decreased in 72 of the last 92 days, but saw an increase of 5 today to see the total rise to 380.

• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 72,919
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 2,852

Today the United States passed 5 million COVID-19 cases as Congress continues stalemate.
