Massachusetts passes 92,000 COVID-19 cases as deaths and hospitalizations continue decline

Today, Massachusetts saw a continued decrease in COVID-19 deaths and hospitalizations.

Massachusetts has seen 1,013 more positive cases in the last 24 hours. An increase from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 92,675 with 68 more reported dead for a total of 6,372.

Massachusetts had seen 773 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

11,387 tests were performed, over 2,000 more than the total released yesterday, to increase the overall total to 532,373.

Hospitalizations have decreased 11 of the last 12 days.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to May 19th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 56,338
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 32,549
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 20,560

According to the CDC, as of May 24th, the total amount of cases in the country is 1,622,114 with 97,049 dead.

Governor Baker announced what will be reopening on May 25 as part of the tiered COVID-19 plan.
