Massachusetts nears 300,000 tests as total COVID-19 cases pass 66,000

Massachusetts has seen 1,952 more positive cases in the last 24 hours. A decrease from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 66,623 with 130 more reported dead for a total of 3,846.

Massachusetts had seen 2,106 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

9,358 tests were performed, more than 4,600 less than the total released yesterday, to increase the overall total to 298,994.

• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 27,939
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 17,659
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 10,280

According to the CDC, as of May 2nd, the total amount of cases in the country is 1,092,815 with 64,283 dead.
