A man wanted in connection with the 4th of July murder of 29-year-old Ivanildo Cabral has been arrested.

29-year-old Jovani Delossantos was taken into custody just before 12:15 p.m. Wednesday in a parking lot in the vicinity of 11,000 Inwood Drive in Woburn, Massachusetts. He was arrested by a team of officers including State Police homicide detectives attached to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, Randolph Police, Woburn Police, members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and a representative of the US Marshall Service working with MSP VFAS.

According to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, Worcester’s Cabral and another victim exited Mojito Country Club on Mazzeo Drive in Randolph at roughly the same time as other men just prior to 8 p.m. and exchanged words with them. Multiple shots were fired following that exchange of words. The second victim survived his injuries. Cabral did not.

29-year-old Shawn Johnson was arrested in late March concerning Cabral’s homicide and pled not guilty.

Delossantos was held overnight and arraigned in Norfolk Superior Court. Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Blair will represent the Commonwealth.
