Fall River Police arrest three in connection with two recent bank robberies

The Fall River Police have made three arrests in connection to two recent bank robberies which took place on October 29, 2021 at St. Anne’s Credit Union located at 1675 President Ave. and the Bank 5 located at 1301 Pleasant St.

According to Lieutenant Gregory Wiley, Uniform Officers responded to both bank robberies which were reported approximately two and half hours apart. Detectives from the Major Crimes Division were assisted in the investigation by the Dartmouth and Raynham Police Departments and they were able to connect the following three individuals to the robberies.

31-year-old Matthew Rodrigues is charged with 2 counts of Unarmed Robbery.

40-year-old Monica Camara is charged with 1 count of Accessory after the Fact.

44-year-old John Teixeira is charged with 2 counts of Unarmed Robbery.

Police Chief Jeffrey Cardoza commended the work of the Uniform Officers and the Detectives from the Major Crimes Division for their hard work on these cases.

“They are truly committed to identifying those that commit violent crimes in our community.”
