LOWELL — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Greg Hudon have confirmed an ongoing investigation into a shooting that occurred early Friday morning on South Walker Street in Lowell.

Shortly after midnight, Lowell Police responded to a report of a person on Wilder Street suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, police found a juvenile male who had been shot. Officers learned that the actual shooting had occurred in a residence on South Walker Street. Upon entering that home, police located  an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound and an adult male with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The adult male was pronounced dead on scene. The adult female was first transported to a local hospital and later transferred to a Boston area hospital. The juvenile victim is in stable condition.

This appears to be an isolated incident as all of the involved individuals were known to each other.

This investigation is being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Lowell Police Department and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

KAREN, they keep changing them but only for the people who follow them! Duh…

Where is mental illness coming from all of a sudden in this country? More guns per capita in one European nation and no issues like here. Maybe look at ourselves in the mirror with the nanny state of welfare breaking apart family and community.

Keep telling yourself that getting rid of guns will solve the problem is akin to any politician telling voters they will solve the problems of unemployment, debt, violence, drug addiction and so on. We are what we escaped in 1776.
