A person was found deceased in a local river on Sunday.
According to Detective Sergeant Theodore Georgitsis, just after 5:30 p.m., police and fire responded to the vicinity of 21 Division Street along the Seekonk River in Pawtucket where a deceased body was recovered from the water.
The initial call came from a boater who discovered the body while out on the river.

Detectives are continuing to investigate.
The deceased has not yet been identified.
