A Massachusetts father killed in a crash this week while providing for his family is being remembered.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the rollover crash occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. Monday on Interstate 95 northbound near Exit 70/Route 1 when a 2018 Honda Pilot and a 2003 Peterbilt tractor-trailer were involved in a collision. Both vehicles left the roadway due to the crash.

Justin Obert of Plymouth, the driver of the tractor-trailer, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda Pilot was uninjured.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Obert is the father of 9 children and “was more than just a truck driver—he was the backbone of his family and a familiar, respected face throughout the New England community. For years, he worked tirelessly as a CDL driver, sacrificing his time and energy to provide for the people he loved most. His work ethic was unmatched, and his dedication never went unnoticed by those who knew him. To his family, he was everything—a loving husband, a devoted father, a doting grandfather, and someone who always showed up when it mattered most. He was a true inspiration to many.”

The investigation into the exact cause of the crash remains ongoing.
