SUDBURY, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SkyBar Confectionary Company today announced that the iconic Sky Bar candy bar is now in production and available for sale. The Sky Bar brand was purchased by Louise Mawhinney, owner of Duck Soup in Sudbury, in the September 2018 auction of the assets of the former New England Confectionery Company (“NECCO”.)

The Company stated that production is up and running, and that the product is Kosher certified. However, orders are currently only being taken at Duck Soup or online. The Company intends to expand availability across the country early next year.

“We hope Sky Bar fans will love the bar as much as we do: we went back to the 1970’s recipe for a richer chocolate and maintained local roots by sourcing peanuts from Teddie and incorporating Fluff into our vanilla section,” said Mawhinney. “We are proud to be making the Sky Bar in Massachusetts, which is its home.”

Sky Bars are being manufactured in a showcase facility right next to Duck Soup.

“You can see Sky Bars being made,” said Mawhinney. “Think of a craft beer maker, except this is a candy bar.”
