Massachusetts COVID-19 current hospitalizations down to 1,107 as the state passes 15,500 confirmed/probable deaths
Massachusetts saw a decrease in cases, active cases, and hospitalizations, in Monday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts saw 1,480 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Sunday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate has risen slightly to 2.19%. Yesterday’s 2.17% was the lowest it had been since November 3rd.
Massachusetts had seen 1,820 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total confirmed cases to 530,735 with 33 more reported dead (32 confirmed, 1 probable) for a total of 15,517 (15,208 confirmed, 309 probable).
The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 15,011,405 after 62,852 new molecular tests.
The 7 day average of confirmed COVID-19 deaths is currently 38.4.
Estimated active cases saw a decrease to 45,833.
Hospitalizations have increased in 92 of the last 152 days and 67 of the last 111 and saw another decrease of 18 to lower the total to 1,107. COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to decrease as of late as there were 2,428 in the Bay State on January 4th. November 28th was the last time that COVID-19 hospitalizations were this low.

Weekly COVID-19 Public Health Report
According to the February 11th report, Fall River has a 67.2 Average Daily Incident Rate per 100,000 (Last 14 days) (83.6 last week). New Bedford saw a decrease to 62.4 (was 83.4). Westport is also in the red at 46.5 (was 50.3), Swansea is at 52.8 and was 75.2 last week. Somerset also saw a decrease as they sit at 50.9 (was 72.9). Freetown decreased to 49.7 from 52.9. Dartmouth is currently at 52.7 after seeing 55.6 last week. Acushnet has the highest rate in Bristol County at 73.1 (was 82.7).
Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to February 11th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 245,635
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 228,426
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 17,209
Massachusetts Officials have now also issued a “vaccine doses administered and shipped” report updated on February 11th.

As of February 14th (CDC not reporting on President’s Day), according to the CDC, the United States has seen 27,417,468 cases of COVID-19 with 482,536 reported deaths.
