Man with life threatening injuries in Taunton hit and run crash Wednesday
TAUNTON — Chief Edward Walsh reports that the Taunton Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian crash where an 85-year-old man was seriously injured.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Taunton Police received a 911 call reporting a pedestrian crash in the area of 305 Middleborough Ave. in East Taunton.
Upon arrival, officers located an 85-year-old Taunton man who was lying in the roadway.
The man was transported by ambulance to Morton Hospital with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening.
The Taunton Police Department is actively investigating the crash and the vehicle that fled the scene is believed to have been a small gray SUV.
