Man who shot bishop, bride at wedding has charges upgraded, related to minister who was killed
A man arrested for shooting a bishop and bride at a New Hampshire wedding, is the stepson of a minister from the same church who was killed less than two weeks ago, according to an official.
37-year-old Dale Holloway is the stepson of Luis Garcia who was shot and killed on October 1st in Londonderry, New Hampshire according to Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati.
It has been confirmed that the groom, Mark Castiglione, who was hit in the head during the incident, is the father of the man who was arrested in Garcia’s killing.
New England Pentecostal church has canceled services for the week due to the shooting.
Holloway’s charges have been upgraded to attempted murder along with other charges.
Responders arrived on scene of the New England Pentecostal Ministries on Bridge Street in Pelham just after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
According to police, during the wedding, Holloway was tackled in a struggle by bystanders after shooting the two victims.
Bishop Stanley Choate was shot in the upper chest and is in serious condition. The bride, 60-year-old Claire McMullen, was shot in the arm and is in good condition.
