Allen Warner, who had been wanted by authorities since last night, has been captured.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz, at approximately 12:32 p.m. this afternoon, Whitman police responded to a call concerning a hit and run at Dunkin’ Donuts. After reviewing surveillance video, police discovered the vehicle involved was a flatbed tow truck. Officers spotted the truck close to the accident scene and pulled it over near Industrial Way. It was discovered that Warner was the driver of the truck and he was arrested without incident. The truck was allegedly stolen from T & K Asphalt at 7 Innovation Way.

The Corolla that Warner allegedly fled in was found in the vicinity of T and K. The firearm was not found in the vehicle, but according to Cruz, it was not clear if authorities were or were not in possession of the gun.

Warner has a record from 2010, but Cruz would not offer any specifics.

At approximately 5:53 p.m. Monday a call came in to Marshfield Police stating a woman was being chased by her soon to be ex-husband.

Police arrived at Route 3A in the area of ABC Equipment to discover 48 year old Shana Warner with facial injuries. She was transported to South Shore Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
