MA Police, Drug Task Force, seize $100,000 in drugs, ghost gun, $60,000 in cash after suspect struggles with officers

Police in Massachusetts recently made an arrest, seized hundreds of grams of methamphetamines, Fentanyl, cocaine, and crack with a street value of approximately $100,000.

On Friday, January 6, 2023, Weymouth Police detectives arrested 32-year-old Max Russo of Weymouth, following an investigation.

Officers attempted to stop Russo, who was operating a white 2022 Honda Accord, on Hinston Road in Weymouth at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Russo crashed into an unmarked cruiser and attempted to flee the scene. He was placed into custody following a brief struggle.

A search of his residence was conducted which resulted in the seizure of more than 800 grams of pressed methamphetamine pills, 250 grams of cocaine, 200 grams of Fentanyl, crack cocaine, and other diverted prescription pills. Officers also seized more than $60,000 in cash and a rifle caliber pistol with no serial numbers, commonly referred to as a ghost gun.

Max Russo was arrested and charged with Trafficking a class B drug (Methamphetamines) over 200 grams, trafficking a class B drug (Cocaine) over 200 grams, trafficking a class A drug (Fentanyl) over 200 grams, trafficking a class A drug (Fentanyl pressed as Percocet) over 36 grams, possession of a firearm with prior violent/drug crime, unlicensed possession of a firearm, possession w/ intent to distribute a class B drug-subsequent offense, 3 counts of possession w/ intent to distribute a class E drug-subsequent offense, failure to stop for the police, resisting arrest, and other motor vehicle violations.

Russo was booked at the Weymouth Police Department and held through the weekend without bail. He was transported to Quincy District Court on Monday, January 9, 2023, for his arraignment.

Members of the South Shore Drug Task Force and Canton Police detectives assisted in the case.

    Graduated with max. This is especially sad because hes ultimately poisoning his own community.
