Lucky number helps Massachusetts man plan for the future after $1 million State Lottery prize
A lucky number helped a Massachusetts man win big money and provide for the future after hitting on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Eric Dimare is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Millions” $30 instant ticket game.
Dimare, who is from Malden, chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he plans to use his winnings to buy a truck and make a down payment on a house.
Dimare said he chose this particular ticket because it was in dispenser number 11 – his lucky number. He purchased the ticket at The Corner Store, 5 Sycamore St. in Everett. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
